Job Summary:

Supermicro is currently seeking a HR Representative who is self-starting, responsive, and able to demonstrate a sense of urgency and teamwork coupled with initiative to support our fast growing organization. The HR Representative plays will be an integral member of the HR team and will focus on administration of employee benefits programs, take ownership of making changes that will support growth and the desired culture, and shall be sensitive to the business practicalities. The role will involve general support for employees at all levels.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


• Handles the leaves of absence process and prepares all related documents/correspondence

• Handles Workers Compensation administration; coordinate claims as a liaison between employee, healthcare provider and carriers; conduct accident investigations and prepare reports for management, insurance carriers and safety committee

• Assists with the employee benefit administration and oversees all benefits related billing, including invoices for payment and payroll reconciliation; facilitates annual open enrollment activities and benefits events; ensures that all employee HR and Benefits files are properly prepared and maintained

• Maintains employee information on the HRIS system and creates reports as required

• Research and stay abreast of all applicable state and federal laws and regulations as related to area of assignment

• Assist with the new hire on-boarding process and the new hire orientation

• Assist with reviewing/updating the Employee Handbook to reflect current workplace policies and procedures

• Use efficient and cost effective approaches to integrate technology into the HR function to improve HR processes

• Other related duties as assigned or required

Qualifications:


• BA/BS degree or equivalent preferred 

• 3+ years of experience with general HR operations and preferably with: employee benefits administration, employment law, WC claims and Safety, and leave of absence administration preferred 

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, and presentation skills

• Knowledge of current applicable federal/state, laws, regulations, and best-practices related to benefits programs and workers compensation

• Ability to work independently and as a team member

• Ability to prioritize multiple functions and tasks and follow through

• Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook)

• Some HR systems experience a plus (ATS, ADP, SAP, Kronos)

• Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize many tasks and complete them with accuracy and efficiency

• Ability to handle tasks with a sense of urgency and confidentiality

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with constant interruptions
