Job Summary:
Super Micro Computers, Inc. is looking for a Production Manager who will manage the production line by driving and managing metrics, set targets, review performance, and instate improvement. Production Manager will organize and oversee the manufacturing of products. You will be ultimately responsible for the smooth running of all production lines and the quality of output. We expect you to have deep know-how in production procedures. Ability to direct personnel towards maximum performance will set you apart as a leader. Decision-making and problem-solving will take up a great part of your day. If you are up to it, we'd like to talk to you. The goal is to ensure an efficient and productive manufacturing process that meets customer requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):
- Responsible for improving product quality yields, and inventory control
- Oversee the production and standard operating procedures, etc.
- Manage and supervise team members to meet corporate operating rules and policy, including production engineer team and technical team.
- Manage and maintain production tools/jigs/ testing equipment with right levels of inventory, including new products needed.
- Efficiency improvement inside each function of production team.
- Oversee the production facility, including conveyors with plans of regular maintenance, and preventative maintenance.
- Continuous improvement in all aspect of production operations, including quality and efficiency.
- Conducts new hire and cycle training for reduction errors of quality.
- Liaising/ co-work with other departments and stakeholders, including headquarter.
- Determine amount of necessary resources
- Other management assigned duties and tasks.
Qualifications:
- BS degree or higher preferred
- 5+ years of relative work experience in computer industry preferred
- Solid understanding of server or computer system assembly
- Experience with basic mechanical knowledge, computer or electronic components testing and inspection
- Strong analytical skills as well as computer skills
- Strong attention to detail, including accuracy and thoroughness
- Ability to comprehend English both spoken and written
- Ability to work overtime and weekends depending on business demands
