Job Summary:

Super Micro Computer, B.V. is currently seeking a Production Planning Specialist who is energetic and detail-oriented to support our fast growing organization. This position will be a member of the manufacturing testing team. The Production Planning Specialist is responsible for planning and controlling all scheduling activities supporting assigned brands, balance production and inventory levels with demand to master scheduling requirements, inventory objectives, and capacity utilization/staffing requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

  • Follow SOP and company rules.
  • Plan production tasks and schedules according to SO fulfillment, PGM input, etc.
  • Analyze back orders, current orders and upcoming orders to prioritize, plan, and schedule the production operations.
  • Develop and review production plan with Managers for approval. 
  • Monitor the execution of production plan and resolve any potential issues in a timely fashion.
  • Planning and prioritizing operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.
  • Obtain output information (number of finished products)
  • Prepare and submit status and performance reports (efficiency, turn-around-time, KPI etc.) and present to Production Managers
  • Analyze delays and interruptions and accordingly adjust production schedule to meet deadlines.
  • Escalate complex issues to Manager for resolution.
  • Occasionally support other PP functions as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Good organization skills
  • Ability to manage a wide variety of activities at the same time
