Job Summary:

As the market leader in professional server solutions, Supermicro is seeking an experienced and innovative Product Manager, DRAM and NAND components that can help us grow our technologies into the parallel computing and hyper-converged spaces. This is a fast moving, emerging business, and successful candidates will be able to move and adapt quickly to changing needs, manage multiple initiatives, engage at all executive levels both inside Supermicro and with partners, and have a proven track record of developing products as well as business model from the ground up. The successful candidate will be self-driven and passionate about bringing new solutions to market. This position will be based in our headquarters located in San Jose, CA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Job included but not limited to:

  • Be the voice of the customer to cross-functional product development teams
  • Own the product life cycle from idea to development to go-to-market to obsolescence
  • Leverage the solution across and to other product groups within Supermicro
  • Be the voice of the company to target customers, and develop a feedback circle to test new product concepts in real customer environments
  • Develop messaging and marketing activities appropriate to the value proposition of the product, train sales resources and channels, both internal and external to the company
  • Be an innovator in product, price, and place aspects, challenging the status quo of traditional products
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and strategic thinking skills along with the ability to translate those skills into creative marketable solutions


Basic Qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience in managing components or procurement activities
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or equivalent experiences


Prefer Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in engineering or business
  • Highly familiar with the key features of server and DRAM, with in-depth knowledge about its market
  • 6+ years of experience as a leader of cross-functional teams in corporate environment, with solid product promotion experiences in hardware components
  • Strong analytical, marketing and project management skills - a drive for results and a history of successful execution on projects
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to develop business relationships from scratch, with both internal and external clients
  • Candidate with product promotion in components level will be evaluated first, procurement experiences will also be considered

• Able to sit for long periods of time.

• Able to input data into a computer and work with a computer screen for long periods of time.

• Occasional bending and standing.

• Standing, walking, sitting, talking/listening, crouching or crawling, reaching with hands and arms.

• Lift, carry, push and pull up to 15 pounds.
