Job Summary:
Supermicro is seeking a highly capable and technically proficient AI Data Center Deployment Manager to oversee the execution of advanced infrastructure deployments supporting high-density AI and GPU cloud environments. This role requires hands-on experience with electrical redundancy schemes, direct liquid cooling (DLC) systems, and data hall layout design. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing hyperscale deployments and a working knowledge of Supermicro CDU (Coolant Distribution Unit) systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end deployment execution for AI data center builds, from planning and design through deployment and commissioning.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including electrical, mechanical, and hardware engineers to ensure timely and high-quality deployment delivery.
- Oversee the implementation of electrical redundancy architectures (N+1, 2N, distributed redundant) to meet uptime and performance requirements.
- Lead the deployment of direct liquid cooling (DLC) infrastructure, including:
- Flow rate and pressure balancing
- Coolant compatibility and water treatment systems
- Integration with Supermicro CDU systems (preferred)
- Drive data hall layout planning, ensuring optimal rack density, cooling distribution, cable management, and scalability.
- Collaborate with hyperscale and cloud infrastructure teams to align physical infrastructure with AI/ML workload demands.
- Track deployment milestones, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies; report progress to internal stakeholders and leadership.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (ASHRAE, Uptime Institute, TIA-942) and Supermicro’s internal engineering guidelines.
- Support vendor selection, contract management, and quality assurance for infrastructure components and services.

- Capable of managing and resolving conflicts diplomatically, especially when deployment challenges arise or client expectations shift.
- Attentive to client concerns and feedback, demonstrating a genuine commitment to understanding and addressing their needs.
- Comfortable presenting project updates, technical overviews, and risk assessments to clients and executive stakeholders.
Adaptability and Poise Under Pressure: Maintains composure and professionalism in high-stakes or rapidly changing environments, especially during on-site client interactions
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 6+ years of experience in data center infrastructure or deployment management, with a focus on AI or GPU-based compute environments.
- Proven experience managing deployments in hyperscale or cloud-scale data center environments.
- Strong understanding of electrical infrastructure and redundancy schemes (UPS, PDUs, switchgear, generators).
- Hands-on experience with direct liquid cooling systems, including flow/pressure design and coolant management.
- Proficiency in data hall layout design, including containment, airflow, and modular scalability.
- Familiarity with AI/ML workload infrastructure requirements and GPU cloud platforms.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira) and design software (MS Visio, AutoCAD, Revit).
Preferred:
- Experience with Supermicro CDU systems and liquid-cooled server platforms.
- Certifications such as PMP, CDCP, CDCS, or Uptime ATD.
- Experience with modular data center deployments and rapid build strategies.
- Knowledge of sustainability practices and energy efficiency optimization in high-density environments.
Salary Range
$150,000 - $160,000
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
