Job Summary:
Supermicro is looking for an Account Manager with experience selling technical solutions to enterprise and data center customers. You’ll manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting to post-sale support, and work cross-functionally to deliver value to your accounts. Special consideration will be given for demonstrated experience in AI agent development, especially in sales support, inside sales, or direct sales, as well as related workflow automation and sales analytics.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, qualifying, quoting, closing, and post-sale account management
- Develop and grow enterprise and data center accounts (OEMs, VARs, corporate IT teams, etc.)
- Execute outbound prospecting via cold calls, email outreach, and follow-ups
- Use CRM (e.g., Salesforce) to manage pipeline and track opportunities
- Leverage AI tools and agents to automate workflows like lead scoring, follow-up, and meeting scheduling
- Analyze sales funnel metrics and agent performance to improve conversion rates
- Attend trade shows, webinars, and customer events to generate and qualify leads
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and operations teams to support account needs
- Negotiate pricing, manage orders, and resolve account-level issues
- Track product lifecycle and manage customer communications through product EOL
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field (preferred)
- 1+ years of experience in B2B sales, ideally selling computer hardware or infrastructure into enterprise or data center accounts
- Strong outbound prospecting and lead generation skills
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation ability
- Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple accounts
- Familiarity with servers, storage, and networking technologies is a plus
- Willingness to travel as needed for customer visits and events
- Special consideration given for demonstrated experience in:
- AI agent development for sales applications (e.g., virtual reps, auto-follow-up, lead routing)
- Workflow automation using AI tools integrated with CRM or sales tech stack
- Sales analytics, including measuring and optimizing agent or campaign performance
Salary Range
$68,640 -$85,000
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
