Job Summary:

Supermicro is experiencing continued growth, and we are seeking an Accounting Manager to support increasing workloads related to month-end close, account reconciliations, SEC disclosure support, and daily AP operations. Reporting to the Senior Accounting Manager, this individual will play an important role in managing financial reporting processes, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring accuracy and compliance across accounting functions. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in both public and private accounting, a strong grasp of US GAAP, and experience with process improvement. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review and post daily and monthly journal entries. Review account reconciliations, with emphasis on areas such as prepaid expenses, accrued liabilities, and other key financial statement components to ensure accuracy and completeness.

• Support and help streamline the month-end close process by reviewing critical entries and reconciliations, while contributing to improvements in efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness amid growing transaction volumes.

• Assist with the preparation and review of disclosure schedules for SEC filings (Form 10-K and 10-Q) to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.

• Collaborate with internal and external auditors by coordinating audit requests and providing well-documented support to facilitate smooth and timely audit completion.

• Work with cross-functional teams and other accounting groups to collect key financial data, perform flux and trend analyses, and help implement improvements that enhance close processes and reporting quality.

• Support the cash forecasting process by monitoring forecast accuracy metrics over time and drive continuous improvement in the forecasting process.

• Participate in cross-functional projects, such as automation initiatives, system enhancements, and process optimization, to improve the efficiency of accounting operations.

• Provide guidance and support to accounting staff, reviewing work for accuracy and contributing to a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

• Promote accuracy and best practices in financial reporting, aligning day-to-day operations with company objectives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.

• Minimum of 8 years of relevant accounting experience (public accounting and/or industry experience preferred).

• Solid understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting standards.

• Experience with SEC reporting and disclosures is a plus.

• Familiarity with high-growth tech or hardware manufacturing environments is a plus.

• Experience supporting month-end close and reconciliation processes in a fast-paced setting.

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel; experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is highly valued.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.

• Ability to manage competing priorities, work cross-functionally, and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

Salary Range

$118,000 - $137,000 

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
