Job Summary:

The Associate Manager, Manufacturing Engineering will be responsible for all aspects of production activities in the manufacturing area, assisting the Production Manager to oversee the overall operation in the manufacturing area. You will bring your expertise, experience, and insight to mature our processes, play a crucial role in meeting the daily target while maintain the quality targets. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):
• Process Optimization: Assist in analyzing and optimizing manufacturing processes to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve product quality
• Team Supervision: provide support, or guidance when it’s needed, to PCBA manufacturing team including Engineers, technicians, and support staff. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment
• Quality Assurance: Ensure that manufacturing processes meet quality standards and specifications. Collaborate with quality control teams to address and resolve quality issues. Support ISO and customer audit activities as needed
• New Product Introduction (NPI): Collaborate with PM and RD teams to support the smooth transition of new products into manufacturing. Ensure manufacturability and cost-effectiveness of new designs
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and technology upgrades. Be able to implement Lean and Six Sigma principles to drive efficiency and eliminate waste is a plus
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of manufacturing processes, procedures, and changes. Generate reports for management and stakeholders
• Supplier Collaboration: Collaborate with suppliers to identify and implement improvements in materials, components, and supply chain processes
• Health and Safety: Promote and enforce safety protocols within the manufacturing engineering department. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations. Support routine regulation agency audit as needed
• Understand customer requirement and formulate delivery plan
• Coach team members to meet corporate operating rules and policy
• Conducts new hire and ongoing training in all production departments
• Other management assigned duties and tasks
Qualifications:
• BS degree in EE, CS, or relevant discipline preferred
• Minimum 5+ years of relative work experience in electronic or computer industry preferred
• Proven experience in manufacturing engineering, including process optimization and team leadership
• Strong technical knowledge of PCBA and Server manufacturing processes and equipment
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Experience in quality assurance is a plus
• Strong analytical skills as well as computer skills. Spreadsheet application is a must
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma principles
• Strong attention to detail, including accuracy and thoroughness
• Good comprehension of English in writing and verbal, and with Mandarin being considered a plus
• Additional certificates, licenses and registrations are considered a plus
• Able to work in fast-paced testing environment
• Ability to work overtime and weekend depending on business demands
• Able to travel (domestic and/or overseas) based on business needs
Salary Range
$99,000 - $143,000
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
