Job Summary:
Super Micro Computer, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Associate Project Manager who will be assisting senior product managers in managing schedules, coordinating cross-functional communication, and preparing materials to improve execution and responsiveness to customer needs. The Associate Project Manager will play a key role in ensuring project success by effectively managing resources,time, budget, and people, and by serving as a clear communicator across internal teams, suppliers, and customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):
- Support the development and management of Supermicro storage/server products through the product life cycle under the guidance of senior team members
- Assist in the preparation of storage product PRDs, roadmaps, and architecture documentation
- Collaborate with engineering, sales, and product management teams to help keep product-line activities aligned with company objectives
- Help Storage Design Engineering teams evaluate and document key storage technologies for potential inclusion in products and roadmaps
- Contribute to project-plan development and tracking for storage products
- Support product-release activities, including coordination of documentation, testing hand-offs, and launch checklists
- Assist with storage-product forecast data collection and monthly review preparation, working with Procurement, Product Managers, and Sales
- Support storage-product promotional activities in coordination with Sales and Product Managers
- Help track and report monthly product-sales data
- Assist in maintaining product roadmaps and monitoring schedule alignment with target dates
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
- Foundational knowledge of server/storage systems architecture (exposure to NVMe, RAID, NAS/SAN, iSCSI, M.2/U.2, or related technologies through coursework, internships, or projects is preferred)
- Internship, academic-project, or co-op experience in hardware/software testing, NPI, or product-related work is a plus
- Ability to follow schedules and contribute to on-time delivery efforts
- Ability to prepare and deliver clear, professional presentations
- Ability to work effectively both in a team environment and independently
- Strong attention to detail and solid written and verbal communication skills
Salary Range
$75,000 - $100,000
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
