Job Summary:

Our Software team is seeking a BIOS engineer who will have a background in Hardware Engineer, responsible for researching, designing, developing and testing server products.
This position is based out of our headquarter office location in San Jose, CA.

  • BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering is perferred
  • String background in software design with C, Assembly is a plus
  • Solid understanding of PC hardware architecture, BIOS, and Linux
  • Work independently and be self-motivated
  • Must be a team player, have passion for software development and have excellent communication skills
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • UEFI BIOS development for desktop and server
  • Perform desktop, server board and workstation UEFI BIOS porting
  • Devise module code for development
  • Provide engineering support to customer BIOS issues
  • Develop and debug BIOS applying knowledge of computer architecture and system design
  • Verification of BIOS system specification
  • Control of project schedule from design phase to production
  • Test of function and reliability and ensure product quality
  • Study computer motherboard and BIOS system specifications and configuration requirements to plan and develop reliability and compatibility
  • Study and analyze the design specification and system housing to optimize the system efficiently
  • Consult and coordinate with other engineering staff to evaluate the design specifications and functions
  • Respond to customer BIOS issue
  • Projects and functions as assigned by managers
