Job Summary:

Super Micro Computer, Inc. is currently seeking a Billing Operations Analyst who is energetic and detail-oriented to support our fast-growing organization.  This role will be a member of the Accounting team in the company’s headquarters located in San Jose, CA.  The Billing Operations Analyst has the responsibility to manage customer orders on a daily basis to ensure they comply with SOX revenue recognition rules.  They are the key link in communication with our sales, supply chain (PGM) and shipping team for order/billing questions.  The individual works closely with our sales, credit, AR and shipping departments to ensure that every order is processed and delivered on time.  A strong business acumen and the ability to reason through ever changing scenarios are necessities for this position.  Taking the initiative, strong math skills, and the ability to anticipate problems before they happen are also essential for success in this position.  The candidate must work well with a team of people who are committed to continuing the company's high growth rate.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Billing Operations Analyst responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

  • Responsible for processing and coordinating purchase orders for products and services between multiple departments in a fast-paced environment.  Require extensive knowledge and experience of billing operation to help facilitate work flow
  • Coordinates with sales team to address and resolve order related issues.  Collaborate closely with AR team to minimize billing errors
  • Test new functions in SAP-CRM for IT team to streamline workflow and promote efficiency of order releasing environment
  • Bill extended warranty customers purchased at Super Micro website to help Service team provide critical customer service
  • Run month-end reports to ensure no pending invoices in system and support accurate AR team's aging report
  • Review any rejection/question from BO & Sales team for training purpose and promote standard order releasing procedures knowledge
  • Provide PM team a copy of production plan to secure inventory allocation and expedite assembly process for BOM customers
  • Check customer portals to ensure invoices have been uploaded / accepted for AR team to receive customer's timely and accurate payment


  • Bachelors preferred with 5+ years Order Processing Services, and/or Customer Service related experience.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Comfort level establishing processes and developing standards
  • Requires a strong work ethic, with an emphasis on teamwork and positive attitude
  • Ability to multi-task and drive results in fast-paced environment
  • Must have strong attention to detail and excellent PC skills
  • Experience with SAP a plus.
