Job Summary:

Supermicro Computer, Inc. is currently seeking a Sr. Sales Manager responsible for successfully expanding Supermicro's customer base in USA, and perhaps other geographies. Sr. Sales Manager will also be responsible for maintaining the quality, efficiency, and integrity of Supermicro's sales process through various means of marketing activities and working with cross functional teams - including Engineering, Finance, Logistics, and Programs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales win plan tailored to the Telco-Cloud vertical, ensuring the achievement and surpassing of sales targets.
  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, leveraging 8-10+ years of experience in the Telco-Cloud vertical.
  • Establish and maintain robust relationships with key stakeholders in the specific vertical sector, drawing on extensive industry experience to form enduring partnerships.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, utilizing deep industry insights to understand their unique needs and provide effective solutions.
  • Analyze customer needs in the IT hardware and AI / 5G/ Edge Compute/ workload space and provide tailored solutions, drawing on your experience, that aligns with their specific business objectives.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of Supermicro's product offerings and their relevance to client requirements.
  • Utilize vertical specific industry experience to monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to adapt sales strategies accordingly.
  • Stay informed about specific industry developments, leveraging years of expertise to remain at the forefront of vertical specific solutions.
  • Implement customer-centric strategies tailored to the client’s sector, leveraging extensive experience to enhance satisfaction and foster customer loyalty.
  • Ensure that the customer experience is optimized throughout the sales process.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, utilizing a wealth of industry knowledge, to develop comprehensive sales strategies tailored to the vertical segment.
  • Optimize the customer experience through effective collaboration with internal teams.
  • Utilize Salesforce or similar CRM systems to efficiently manage customer data and sales activities.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive sales reports to upper management.
  • Provide support and guidance, backed by extensive industry specific experience, to fellow sales associates to collectively achieve objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to drive new business opportunities within the Telco sector.
  • Proven track record in selling to TELCOs and HYPERSCALERS, cultivating and managing relationships with senior leaders in the industry
  • Leading and driving the RFX strategy and process, complete with a solution and margin focus
  • Consistently achieving and surpassing sales targets in the IT hardware and/or AI/ 5G/ Telco/ Edge Computing workload discipline
  • Ability to independently establish win-plans and close opportunities against quota requirement.
  • 8-10+ years of experience with relevant relationships within the Telco-Cloud industry.
  • Experience using Salesforce and MEDDPICC sales methodology are desired.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business
  • Willingness to travel

 

 

Please note that this position requires regular in-office attendance. The successful candidate is expected to be present in the office during standard working hours as determined by the company. In-office collaboration and participation in team meetings, training sessions, and other on-site activities are essential aspects of this role. Candidates should consider the commuting distance and be prepared to fulfill their responsibilities in the designated office location.

Salary Range

$105,000 - $173,000 

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
