Job Summary:

Super Micro Computer is seeking a Component Engineer to join our growing team in San Jose, CA.  This Component Engineer role is primarily responsible for component strategic planning due to technology migration, qualification of quality alternatives, monitoring and execution of validation progress, and collaborating across engineering and purchasing cogitation to meet company goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):
• Supporting production to test and resolve technical and quality issues related to Key Components
• Work with production and coordinate internal engineering teams to improve Key Component yield and test
• Leading technical testing and analysis to support early Joint Validation, and debug efforts
• Work closely with component vendor, RD engineering, Lab, Components PMs & System teams to ensure quality & qualification of components
• Plan and modify Key Component configurations to meet customer needs to optimize Server/Work Station Applications
• Assist internal PMs to assess their Key Component Product requirements for Server/Work Stations, and to create product specifications and poisoning documents, conduct tactical competitive analysis, and critical situation management
• Prepare and present technical presentations that explain the Key Component Products to customers, and internal PM teams to sell existing products and promote discussion for development for future Server/Workstation sales
• Support internal engineering teams in failure analysis and defining corrective actions
• Provide technical proposal for specific customer requirements, including request for proposal responses and industry- specific solutions for Key Components

Qualifications:

• BSEE or BSCE with a minimum of 1 years of relevant experiences
• Experience with working in Key Component lab test and documentation 
• Solid understanding of Server/Work Station system with respect to Key Component solutions
• Experience with Key Component technology and processing is a plus
• Experience with system level CPU, DRAM, and Flash engineering is a plus
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Solid understanding of Key Component Related Products from design, manufacturing to promotion
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Technical certifications in the Key Component is a plus

Salary Range

   $67,000 - $82,000 

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
