Job Summary:

Supermicro is seeking a Director, IT Operations to oversee the strategic and tactical direction for IT operations across the enterprise. This leadership role is crucial in ensuring the efficiency, security, and scalability of all IT infrastructures, supporting the company's business services and capabilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with IT head, peers with other IT engineering and security teams, transforming IT infrastructure and security products into operation and continuous improvement.
  • Lead and manage the IT Operations team, providing coaching, guidance, and leadership to drive high performance.
  • Develop and implement robust processes and standards to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Create and manage a scalable IT operations model, including a documented roadmap with clear goals and objectives.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of all IT systems and infrastructure, identifying and resolving issues that may impact service delivery.
  • Oversee incident management and act as a liaison to resolve critical issues quickly, minimizing downtime and service disruption.
  • Drive continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and optimize resources.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align IT operations with business objectives and growth strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 15+ years of experience in IT operations, with at least 7 years in leadership roles involving infrastructure and IT systems management.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage tasks in high-pressure environments.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively present and explain complex concepts.
  • Strong understanding of IT systems, technologies, and best practices for operations management.
  • Experience in data-driven decision-making and performance metrics analysis to drive operational improvements.

Salary Range

​$185,000 - $215,000 

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
