Job Summary:

Track and analyze collected quality metrics for design review, product life cycle management, and post-sales product quality.  Responsibility includes managing supply chain and incoming quality, and in-house manufacturing quality, integrated Supermicro product reliability and performance. The individual will work with the senior management of the corporate quality and take on oversight responsibility of quality metrics to all global operations sites, covering cross-functional departments. Recommend to corporate quality office project plan and initiatives to promote product quality policy and control standards, and ensure effective implementation at operational levels, both in-house manufacturing factory sites and supply chain source.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate departmental resources, production and supporting staff, to support enterprise-level customers in meeting the quality requirement and to improve process control capability to meet the targeted quality level.
  • Provide customer service support, and as customer support interface to champion cause of raising quality standards and the performance of the production operations team.
  • Be the champion of quality for production team by coaching team with best practice in quality principles, control, and root-cause prevention.
  • Serve as a voice of customer to suppliers and CM partners to continuously mandate defect prevention and reduction in respective product transformation processes. Set up metrics for management and tracking of performance improvement program.
  • Take proactive actions in meeting customer quality requirement and responsible for end-to-end product quality including elements attributed by suppliers and field support partners.
  • Support company-wide audit of quality systems as well key functional processes
  • Define and establish quality requirement for company products
  • Lead review of business agreement or OEM contract; provide expertise feedback on related quality requirement.
  • Provide design review feedback to RD/PM on products for improvement opportunity of product quality.

Qualifications:

  • 15 years and more of relevant management experience in electronic and computer product and quality management systems in the computer industry.
  • A strong plus with product quality essentials of a product company in server and high-end computing industry.
  • Need working knowledge and prior experience in system integration business.
  • Familiarity of customer service to champion product quality and specifications.
  • Have excellent communication and analytical skills in problem solving.
  • Experience in hands-on operations and quality audit hosting.
  • Excellent writing style and demonstrated expertise in procedures and documents.

 

Salary Range

$175,000 - $212,000 

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
