Job Summary:

Supermicro is currently looking for a Director, Sales Development to join our growing team to help us achieve our next stage of rapid growth. This role is focused on building our Enterprise Sales Development team from scratch and helping to hire, onboard, train, and continuously develop sales development representatives. This person will be a dynamic leader with experience in coaching SDRs to uncover net new business across Enterprise accounts. They will also provide strategic direction and implement strategies across the teams that allow them to hit and exceed their pipeline and opportunity targets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Job included but not limited to:

  • Hire, train, coach, and supervise a team of Sales Development Representatives. Motivate a team of SDRs to achieve and exceed targets for qualified lead generation, pipeline development, and revenue attainment.
  • Begin by working as an individual contributor to establish the team from the ground up.
  • Develop and refine cold calling scripts, talk tracks, and email templates to optimize engagement with prospects. Provide ongoing feedback and support to SDRs to improve their outreach effectiveness.
  • Work closely with marketing and sales teams to develop account blueprints and segmentation strategies for target accounts. Define ideal customer profiles and personas to guide the team's personalized outreach efforts.
  • Develop comprehensive training programs for the SDR team on tools, sales operations, and product knowledge. Continuously assess and refine training materials to ensure effectiveness and relevance.
  • Develop and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the performance of the SDR team and individual representatives, ensuring alignment with sales objectives and accelerating growth.
  • Create a strategy for SDRs to break into enterprise accounts.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of our enterprise products, value proposition, and competitive differentiation to effectively communicate with prospects and customers.
  • Partner with sales & marketing to manage the lead funnel.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and collaboration within the sales development team.
  • Evaluate and implement sales enablement technologies and tools to enhance sales productivity and efficiency.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements in sales development methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10+ years of progressively expanding marketing, business development, and/or direct sales experience.
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Proven success leading multiple teams across different regions, and solution offerings.
  • A demonstrated understanding of sales processes and building successful and modern inbound/outbound models in high-growth organizations.
  • Proven experience as a strategic partner with sales leadership to build a successful SDR model to support segment pipeline and people growth objectives.
  • Experience managing teams with sales management software and lead generation tools, including Outreach.io, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with senior-level executives.
  • High energy, results, and metrics-driven leader with a positive “grow together, win together and have fun together” attitude.
  • Demonstrate how to improve SDR productivity through a proven playbook.


Please note that this position requires regular in-office attendance. The successful candidate is expected to be present in the office during standard working hours as determined by the company. In-office collaboration and participation in team meetings, training sessions, and other on-site activities are essential aspects of this role. Candidates should consider the commuting distance and be prepared to fulfill their responsibilities in the designated office location.

Salary Range

$160,000 - $230,000 

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
