Job Summary:

Supermicro, a global leader in high performance, high efficiency Server and Storage technology and green computing, is looking for a Director, Server Production to join its established and growing production team. The ideal candidate should bring deep manufacturing industry knowledge, thought leadership and passion to help reach a broader target customer base for our growing manufacturing capacity and global footprint

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing Production Processes: Supervising and coordinating all aspects of the production process to ensure efficiency, quality, and timely delivery of goods or services.
  • Strategic Planning: Developing production plans and strategies in alignment with organizational goals, budgets, and timelines.
  • Resource Management: Managing resources such as equipment, materials, and personnel to optimize productivity and minimize waste.
  • Budgeting and Cost Control: Creating and managing production budgets, monitoring expenses, and implementing cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
  • Team Leadership: Providing leadership and direction to production teams, including hiring, training, evaluating performance, and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Workflow Optimization: Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing solutions to enhance workflow efficiency and productivity.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensuring that products or services meet quality standards and regulatory requirements through effective quality control measures and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Supply Chain Management: Collaborating with procurement, logistics, and supply chain teams to optimize inventory levels, minimize lead times, and ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
  • Safety and Compliance: Enforcing safety protocols and regulatory compliance standards to maintain a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Facilitating communication and collaboration between cross-functional teams, departments, and stakeholders to coordinate production activities and resolve issues proactively.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), analyzing production metrics, and preparing regular reports to track progress, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Problem-solving and Decision-making: Addressing production-related challenges, resolving conflicts, and making timely decisions to keep production operations running smoothly.
  • Adherence to Deadlines: Ensuring that production schedules and deadlines are met through effective planning, coordination, and prioritization of tasks.
  • Continuous Improvement: Promoting a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging feedback, implementing best practices, and fostering innovation in production processes and technologies.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality products or services that meet or exceed customer expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 15 years’ experience in server total solution, manufacturing operation and other related field.
  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and presentation skill
  • Need working knowledge and prior experience in system integration business.
  • Ability to develop, implement and execute strategy.  Accountability for achieving business goals. Comfortable to communicate to all levels of organization.
  • Prior work experience in the manufacturing industry in business unit director or manager or similar roles.
  • Proven track record of accomplishments. Result-driven and goal oriented individual comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment  

Salary Range

$180,000 - $211,043 

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
