Job Summary:

Supermicro system department is looking for a highly technical Director, Solution Management to manage the end-to-end solution coordination and promotion.  In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional engineering team to provide technical direction and guidance to ensure the market competitiveness of in-house solution design.  In the meantime, you will partner with customer engagement team to understand clients’ need on ODM requirements, and lead internal team in both customization and/or design processes. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned): 
• Responsible for solutions and products revenue and customer retention
• Possess a “big picture” mind set in collaboration with the ability to always think beyond a single project or business domain.
• Organizing additional technical resources within the organization to address client needs when necessary
• Define, lead, and provide creative solutions and overcoming constraints to meet customer requirements of the demanding market
• Perform duties with a consultative based mindset
• Lead solution exploration during pre-contractual stages of strategic partnerships with potential customer and partners.
• To understand and resolve challenges by collaborating with internal business partner and technical members
• Act as escalation point for Solutions Management team as well as ownership of major account.
• Overseeing deliverables and documentation as required, supporting Supermicro Solution and Products organization
• Provide solutions and products overview training to internal organizations, partners, external resellers, and end customers
• Identify any product/functionality gaps required to deliver a solution and collaborate with internal product and technology teams to define the necessary enhancements to support delivery.
• Create solution with service centric mind-set from concept to reality within existing constraints
• Documenting and improve process in the overall service-oriented architecture model and providing technical leadership and guidance to global service team
• Design, build, preconfigured and integrated solutions with emphasis on service

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline or with equivalent experiences; Master’s degree in engineering or business administration would be a plus
• Minimum of 15 years of direct experiences in IT industry, with 7 years in management is highly preferred
• Strong organizational, planning, and presentational skills, ability to present demo and solutions to large groups and C-level executives
• Solid interpersonal (written and verbal communication) and project management skills, able to influence and lead dynamic groups in corporate environment efficiently
• In-depth knowledge in IT industry and its application, able to influence and recommend clients the right solutions and provide internal teams on technical directions

Salary Range

$190,000 - $238,000 

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
