You will be responsible for driving strategic growth initiatives, shaping federal platform strategy, and leading engagement efforts with key government decision-makers, systems integrators, and technology partners.

This position is based within one hour of Washington, DC.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):

• Lead technical discussions across the federal sector, including federal agencies (Department of War, Intelligence Community, and Civilian agencies), federal systems integrators and resellers, as well as the federal ecosystem, aligning Supermicro’s high-performance computing and AI solutions with agency modernization priorities and mission outcomes.

• Engage federal CTOs and technical decision-makers in the identification of challenges, opportunities in new architectures, and co-develop next-generation computing environments.

• Architect and evangelize GPU-accelerated, AI/ML, and data analytics solutions, leveraging Supermicro’s product and services portfolio to address mission-critical workloads in defense, intelligence, and research domains.

• Serve as the technical authority in government pursuits (e.g., Golden Dome, SHIELD/NOBLE, Navy CANES/Foundry, VA OIT and FAA IT Modernization, CBP BEAGLE 2)—contributing to solution design, proposal development, and technical presentations that differentiate Supermicro in procurement activities.

• Provide technical oversight of complex engagements, ensuring compliance with security frameworks such as FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST 800-53, and DoD STIGs, and alignment with agency architecture standards.

• Partner with internal Engineering, Security, Software, Compliance, Product Management, and Operations teams to design, validate, and deliver optimized solutions for GPU clusters, AI frameworks, and HPC environments.

• Lead technical road mapping discussions with government clients (e.g., DoW CDAO, DARPA, IARPA, NISTC, DoW, DoE, and other labs, DHS S&T), identifying future capabilities, potential gaps and influencing Supermicro’s R&D strategy to meet evolving public sector needs.

• Represent Supermicro at technical conferences, government innovation forums, and working groups (e.g. AFCEA, INSA, ACT-IAC, DoDIIS, GEOINT, SPACECOM), serving as a thought leader on AI infrastructure and digital transformation.

• Translate complex technical concepts—such as workload optimization, data flow architectures, and GPU performance scaling—into actionable strategies and competitive differentiators.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or a related field

• 15+ years of experience in technical leadership, federal solution architecture, or technology strategy, preferably supporting defense, intelligence, and civilian agencies.

• Demonstrated success in winning and managing federal contracts—experience with GSA Schedules, IDIQs, BPAs, and other acquisition vehicles is a strong plus.

• Strong knowledge of IT industry standards, network architectures, server architectures, power infrastructure, cooling systems, and GPU-accelerated AI processing clusters

• Proven ability to develop strategic partnerships with prime contractors, system integrators, and technology vendors to pursue joint opportunities.

• Strong public speaking acumen with expertise in developing de facto standards based proposals and presenting to senior government and industry executives."
