Job Summary:
Supermicro is looking for a Engineering Technician with testing experience to take ownership in motherboard, system, storage, and add-on-card testing. The individual will work with cross-functional engineering team to fix quality issues and ensure the products meet engineering and customer specifications, support Research and Development engineering and pre-and-post product release activities, such as white-box design verification, as well as on the system level, black-box testing. The ideal candidate must have in-depth knowledge in Linux and Windows operating systems, a solid working knowledge in hardware validation testing, and be able to assist engineers in configuring systems and mounting them into racks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):
• Conduct functionality, compatibility, performance, stress, and reliability testing
• Document and analyze test data
• Report hardware and software quality assurance issues into bug tracking systems
• Improve validation test plans and test instructions
• Contribute in the development of test utilities and test script automation
• Support internal and external quality issues and drive to issue resolution
Qualifications:
• AA in Engineering or equivalent, BS degree is preferred
• 2+ years of experience as Lab Technician or related field is a plus
• Familiar with Server and Computer Architecture
• Basic knowledge of Networking/TCPIP
• Knowledge of proper English usage, grammar, spelling, vocabulary and of generally accepted office practices, procedures and equipment
• Familiar with Windows and Linux Operating Systems
• Strong attention to details
• White and Black Box testing experience
• Knowledge of storage, networking, and GPU benchmarks and stress tests
Please note that this position requires regular in-office attendance. The successful candidate is expected to be present in the office during standard working hours as determined by the company. In-office collaboration and participation in team meetings, training sessions, and other on-site activities are essential aspects of this role. Candidates should consider the commuting distance and be prepared to fulfill their responsibilities in the designated office location.
Salary Range
$24.00/hr - $42.00/hr
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
