Job Summary:
This role involves generating and managing all communications related to the Office of the CEO, including internal communications with employees, external communications with partners, media relations, and social media. It is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned leader and effective communicator who thrives on collaborating closely with a senior executive to develop a platform that meets strategic goals. This role will serve as a trusted partner to the Office of the CEO, responsible for crafting and executing the CEO’s communications strategy and content. The ideal candidate will leverage a deep understanding of the IT industry and Supermicro’s business priorities, ensuring disciplined execution and attention to detail to achieve the best outcomes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the CEO's communications strategy and plan.
- Write speeches and talking points for external events and public engagements.
- Draft concise yet comprehensive briefing materials to prepare the CEO for engagements.
- Drive proactive external engagement with key opinion leaders to expand the CEO’s network and support Supermicro’s broader business objectives.
- Advise and manage the CEO’s social media strategy, focusing on leveraging platforms to drive engagement with priority audiences and topics.
- Collaborate closely with corporate media relations to sustain a robust CEO media program.
- Build and maintain relationships with other members of Supermicro’s leadership team to inform the CEO’s communications strategy and content.
- Manage the external agency supporting strategic CEO communications and content.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10-15 years of communications leadership experience.
- Degree in media and communications. Computer industry experience is a plus.
- Significant executive communications experience. Political experience a plus, but not required.
- A great writer, with experience spanning speech writing, messaging and talking points.
- Strategic thinker with a strong grasp on global issues, current events impacting the IT market and business trends.
- A strong external PR network that can be leveraged to support strategic objectives.
- Experience managing an executive’s social media presence is a plus
- Multi-language proficiency (other than English) is a plus
Salary Range
$160,000 - $194,000
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
