Job Summary:
Super Micro Computer, Inc. is seeking a talented Firmware Engineer who will be responsible for developing world-class firmware to fully maximize the strong hardware architecture of in-house servers. We are looking for talented individuals who enjoy creating firmware for computer server products, prototyping concepts, and investigating new technologies. In this position, the candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design robust server products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):
- Responsible for porting, developing, testing documenting, and maintaining firmware for Server System
- Lead the firmware engineering projects and development
- Responsible for developing, testing, delivering, documenting, and maintaining BMC firmware and related components.
- Develop Linux
- Collaborate closely with research and design team members and validation team members
- Responsible for all BMC firmware and software components during the planning, development, and validation phases of the program.
Qualifications:
- BS in EE/CC/CE is required. MS in EE/CS/CE is a plus
- Minimum 5+ years of firmware experience preferred
- Minimum 3+ years working experience in Linux Programming
- Strong programming skills in C and C++, familiar with ARM-based assembly language is required
- Extensive experience in BMC SW development is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with Root of Trust (RoT) technologies (such as secure boot, measured boot, or dynamic RoT) is preferred.
- Must be very comfortable writing multi-threaded applications
- Experience with motherboard and server architecture
- Self-motivated engineer who can follow a project through with minimal supervision
- Work closely with vendor in product integration, debug and problem resolution per spec and customer requirement
- Guiding and mentoring junior engineers, as needed
Salary Range
$120,000 - $150,000
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills,yrs of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
