Job Summary:

The General Manager of Global eCommerce will spearhead the strategic vision and execution of Supermicro’s global eCommerce operations. This role requires a seasoned leader with deep knowledge of the IT hardware industry, exceptional management capabilities, and a proven track record of scaling digital sales channels. You will be responsible for overseeing our eCommerce strategy, optimizing operations, and leading a high-performing global team to achieve and surpass revenue and customer experience goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive global eCommerce strategy that aligns with Supermicro’s business objectives and growth targets. Identify and capitalize on market opportunities to expand our digital footprint and drive sales across key regions.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a global eCommerce team. Create an environment that fosters collaboration, innovation, and high performance. Ensure the team is equipped with the tools and knowledge needed to achieve success.
  • Operations Oversight: Oversee daily operations of Supermicro’s global eCommerce platform, including digital marketing, order fulfillment, and customer service. Ensure all processes are efficient and aligned with best practices.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and new business opportunities. Use insights to refine strategies and enhance performance.
  • Performance Tracking: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to gauge the effectiveness of eCommerce initiatives. Regularly review performance data, optimize strategies, and drive improvements in conversion rates, customer acquisition, and revenue growth.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, IT, and Product Development, to ensure seamless execution of eCommerce strategies and alignment with Supermicro’s broader business goals.
  • Customer Experience: Enhance the online customer journey by delivering a seamless, engaging, and user-friendly experience. Address customer feedback and resolve issues promptly to boost satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the global eCommerce budget, ensuring effective resource allocation and achieving financial objectives.
  • Innovation: Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in eCommerce. Introduce innovative solutions and tools to maintain a competitive edge and improve operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • At least 10 years of experience in eCommerce management, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role, ideally within the IT hardware or technology sector.
  • Demonstrated success in driving substantial revenue growth through digital channels and managing complex eCommerce operations on a global scale.
  • Deep understanding of IT hardware products, including servers, storage solutions, and related technologies.
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage and develop diverse teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively across various functions and regions.
  • Proficiency in eCommerce platforms, digital marketing tools, and analytics software.

Salary Range

$209,000 - $248,000 

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
