Job Summary:

Super Micro Inc. is seeking to hire for a GM position in support of adding value and championing our AI and compute server and storage product portfolios to achieve company's strategic and aggressive growth goals. This job is a full time job based in San Jose, CA, with management responsibility for a global teams across time zones.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):
• Evaluate, plan, and execute software value-add projects to add to the product portfolio to further provide value to our customers. Extra focus on AI stack
• Drive/Manage select ISV/OS certifications, benchmarking, and performance tuning at the software stack level
• Drive/Manage workload based solution development with internal/ISV partners utilizing our hardware asset base to assist and accelerate hardware revenue and provide incremental value to customers
• Manage and grow a global engineering team across time-zones
• Assist sales and internal groups, in any customer RFQ/RFP processes and/or new project proposals, with the goal of maximizing chances of winning
• Work closely with hardware/software product development, product management, QA, marketing, service, and sales teams, to achieve team and company goals and to influence product and service portfolios for competitive advantage and incremental value to our customers
• Review/generate/influence product collateral for relevant products including product briefs, white papers, trade articles, to create/extend awareness and understanding of the value of Supermicro's product offerings
• Participate in industry/analyst/company/customer events with the goal of advancing the company's awareness and growth agenda
• Moderate to heavy world-wide travel is required

Qualifications:

• BSEE or equivalent, MS preferred with 15+ years of relevant industry experience
• Deep knowledge of AI/compute server and storage architectures, use cases, workloads, competitive offerings, markets, and technology trends essential. Recent AI stack experience strong plus
• Prior software product development experience required. Prior people management experience required
• Exposure to Agile processes, software product lifecycle management experience highly preferred
• Excellent written and oral communications, influencing, and motivational skills required

Salary Range

$256,000 - $280,000 

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
