Why This Role Matters:

 

The Manager, Solution Engineering plays a critical role in ensuring that our cutting-edge server and cloud technologies are rigorously tested through test planning, coordinating test projects, and executing throughout the testing project life cycle. This would include establishment of test environment, perform server level, rack level and cluster level hardware performance testing, review and analyze test logs, deploy clusters according to customer requirements (OS/software installation, OS/software configuration, network configuration, etc.).

What You'll Do:

 

In this role, you will:
 

  • Lead Testing Projects: Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of testing projects: including planning, coordinating, and executing, ensuring projects are completed on schedule and meet all quality requirements.
  • Develop Automation Scripts: Create Python or Shell scripts to streamline the setup of testing environments for MLPerf, SPEC, and HPC testing environment to test server hardware.
  • Analyze & Optimize Performance: Perform server configuration and system performance analysis.
  • Deploy and Test Systems: Conduct functional and compatibility testing on various operating systems such as Linux, Unix, and Windows.
    Design, develop, and maintain benchmarking applications and tools for evaluating and measure the performance of AI/ML/HPC systems within OpenShift/OpenStack environments.
  • Document Engineering Processes: Draft and maintain technical documentation including drawing/diagram. Write engineering documentation such as test -SOP, test procedures and design documents.
  • Oversee On-Site Testing & Deployment: Lead on-site software deployment/customer acceptance verification test.
    Conduct comprehensive performance analysis, profiling, and optimization of AI/ML/HPC workloads on Openshift/OpenStack clusters.
    Install HPC/AI test environment and built HPC/AI cluster for customer. In house/onsite server testing and deployment, software deployment and network deployment.

What You'll Bring:

 

We’re looking for an experienced, results-driven leader who brings the following:
 

  • Education & Experience: A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Production Management) or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven Leadership: 8+ years of experience in a production management or engineering role, preferably with experience in server rack integration, hardware/software testing, or related fields.
  • Technical Expertise: Extensive knowledge of server rack testing processes, hardware/software debugging, and cluster deployment, with at least 5+ years of Linux/networking debugging or testing experience.
  • Advanced Knowledge of Systems: Deep experience with Intel/AMD-based servers, storage, HPC, and networking systems (8+ years).
  • Project Management Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: A proactive approach to identifying issues and resolving them, with a knack for making critical decisions under pressure. Solid understanding of quality control principles and experience implementing quality management systems.
  • Excellent Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Salary Range

$137,000 - $151,000 

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
