Job Summary:

The SuperWorkstation team is seeking a talented Product Engineer to be part of a growing team that manages some of the highest visibility accounts at Supermicro. The ideal PE candidate should have either relevant industry experience or are familiar with the server hardware industry, can hit the ground running from day 1, and most importantly be a team player. This individual should also be able to perform their day-to-day duties with minimal supervision and help supporting internal teams with product or process issues.


This position will be based in our headquarters located in San Jose, CA.


 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):
• Work with product managers and account teams to build proof-of-concept systems for customer qualification
• Troubleshoot system issues in production/manufacturing and assist RMA repair teams with subject matter expertise
• Manage the bill-of-materials and ECO of SuperWorkstation system
• Work with internal and external labs to validate new hardware and firmware releases
• Proactively engage in learning and researching new technologies and products
• Work with sales and customers to provide support, acting as the liaison between internal departments

Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in engineering and system management related with minimum of 2+ years hands-on engineering experiences in server/workstation products is strongly desirable, or equivalent industry experience is preferred
• Strong knowledge in server/workstation architecture and component ecosystem
• Hands on experience assembling and troubleshooting servers and workstations or worked in production/POC department is preferable.
• Experiences in configuring basic hardware firmware, or familiar with product management process is a plus
• Experiences in working with sales / FAE account teams in a collaborative setting for commercial customers

Please note that this position requires regular in-office attendance. The successful candidate is expected to be present in the office during standard working hours as determined by the company. In-office collaboration and participation in team meetings, training sessions, and other on-site activities are essential aspects of this role. Candidates should consider the commuting distance and be prepared to fulfill their responsibilities in the designated office location.

Salary Range

$82,000 - $133,000 

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
