Job Summary:
Supermicro is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product Manager who can lead the development and integration of server storage system products for cloud and data center infrastructure. This is a key product management role focused on storage product solutions and he or she will lead the research, planning, development, and complete product life cycle management of our rackmount storage server, specifically focusing on JBOD/JBOF (Just a Bunch of Disks/ Just a Bunch of Flashes) solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of storage technologies, a proven track record in product management, and a passion for delivering innovative solutions to meet customer needs. This position will be located in San Jose, CA.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape within the rackmount storage server industry, with a focus on JBOD solutions
• Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap based on vertical market insights, customer feedback, and business objectives
• Collaborate closely with multi-regional, cross-functional teams with strong communication skills, including engineering, design, sales, and marketing, to ensure alignment and successful execution of the product roadmap and TTM
• Develop detailed product requirements, specifications, and whitepapers to guide the development team in creating high-quality, market-leading JBOD storage solutions
• Drive the product development process from concept to launch, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and adherence to budgetary constraints
• Lead product launches and go-to-market strategies, working closely with the marketing and sales teams to effectively communicate product features, benefits, and value propositions to customers
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success, iterate on product features, and make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement
• Manage the entire product life cycle, including product support and updates, enhancements, and end-of-life planning
Qualifications:
• Bachelor or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering with 5+ years hands-on experience in system/server architecture is preferred
• Demonstrate ability in product marketing and/or product management role, must have managed a number of products from initial concept through development, launch, and end-of-life
• Strong knowledge with server storage architecture, with extensive in depth knowledge of storage HW and SW, NVMe, RAID, SAS expanders, NAS, SAN, ISCSI, hadoop, I2C and GPIO. U.2/U.3 devices, EDSFF, dual actuator drive
• Exceptional project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage resources, and meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making
• Proficiency in market research, competitive analysis, and customer segmentation
• Ability to think strategically, adapt to change, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Hands on with Linux, Windows Storage Spaces, SES command, fio and vdbench is preferred
• Familiarity with compliance and certification standards related to storage products is a plus
• Exceptional communication and presentation skill is a must, able to communicate effectively with customers to promote, answer questions, and process feedback between internal and external team
Salary Range
$88,000 - $160,000
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
