Job Summary:

As a global leader for networking solution innovation, Supermicro's mission is to develop and provide the market with end-to end computing solution and high performance networking products. The Production Engineer(Technology driven; not regular daily manufacturing operation) will be responsible lead a group of Engineers to execute daily FA on all production line failure PCBAs. Beside that he/she needs to manage/educate/monitor all Supermicro World Wide PCBA Contract Manufacturers in term of SMT process plus PCBA testing coverage to assure good quality PCBA to be shipped to SMC for system integration.
This job needs as well to perform Hardware System/Board/Component debug/analysis/trouble shooting then work closely with: Design engineers for design improvement; Production supervisor if there is any workmanship improvement; PCBA CMs for process/component/testing improvement.
 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):
• Responsible for the daily failure analysis/trouble shooting all production rejected PCBA
• Manage/qualify/educate all World-Wide including US, Taiwan and future Malaysia, Mexico PCBA CMs

Qualifications:

• BS/MS degree with EE major, minimum 1 years+ in circuit board/HW trouble shooting and PCBA SMT process
• Experience with Linux Operating System and with basic bash scripting is plus
• Expertise in using CAD/CAM, schematic and layout tool also be able to develop test utility to coordinate with SMC function teams to optimize continuous products design improvement during volume production
• Providing troubleshooting and failure analysis skill for SMC worldwide sites and lead CIP to boost better product quality
• Familiar with server testing, latest server architecture and component
• Must be able to work in independently and in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work overtime and weekends depending on business demands
• Must have excellent communication skills

Salary Range

$82,000 - $133,000 

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
