Job Summary:

Supermicro is looking for experienced Production Technician who will be primarily assemble and test complex systems in a clean room environment, this position will support in areas: process improvement, lean manufacturing, and quality improvement. Prior manufacturing experience is required, as well as a high attention to detail and a go getter attitude. We are looking for someone who will jump right in and take the reigns.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):

• Has a good understanding of firmware, drivers, OS, Applications and their interaction that can cause system issues

• Strictly follow engineering SOPs and deviation to ensure the products are build with precision

• Unbox and transport servers to different locations to perform engineering testing and/or repairs

• Debug server issues and perform repair if necessary, develop troubleshoot guides to cover all possible issues

• Provide field service report on a regular basis

• Process Engineering Change Orders and Engineering Deviation Authorizations with support from engineering department

• Ensure build plans are achieved on a daily basis

Qualifications:


• Associate's degree in engineering discipline, Bachelor is preferred

• Familiar with Linux, Excel, Word and Power Point is a plus

• Minimum of 2+ years in server, Data center or manufacturing is desired, familiar with debugging and rack wiring preferred

• Strong verbal communication skill, ability to work well with others collaboratively and individually

• Individual must be able to work effectively in a high pressure and fast-pace environment

• Willing to work on different time shift based on business need

• Has good understanding of lean manufacturing is strongly preferred

• Travel for business is required for up to 25%
