Why This Role Matters:

  • Drive Strategic Deal Structuring: You will lead Supermicro’s newly established deal qualification process, ensuring compliance, risk assessment, and alignment with business goals.
  • Optimize Sales Efficiency & Compliance: Your expertise will help streamline the sales qualification and approval process while ensuring adherence to U.S. trade restrictions and company policies.
  • Collaborate with Key Stakeholders: As part of Revenue Accounting and Rev Rec team, you will work closely with Sales, Legal, Finance, Compliance, and Global Trade teams to facilitate complex deals and ensure operational excellence.

What You'll Do:

  • Sales Deal Qualification & Compliance:

    • Review deal qualification checklists submitted by Sales to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company policies and U.S. trade regulations.
    • Lead Qualification Committee reviews, advising on deal approvals, rejections, or additional information requests.
    • Ensure all restricted GPU transactions meet Supermicro Trade compliance requirements from both Supermicro and key suppliers.
  • Sales Operations & Deal Desk Support:

    • Work closely with Sales teams, providing guidance on deal structuring, compliance, and risk assessments.
    • Engage directly with customers and vendors to accelerate deal closing and ensure seamless transactions.
    • Act as the primary liaison with key suppliers’ solution managers to facilitate compliance reviews and GPU allocations.
  • Process Improvement & Training:

    • Train, coach, and support Sales teams on the company's deal qualification processes and trade compliance requirements.
    • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in order-to-cash (OTC) processes and sales operations.
    • Partner with Legal, Tax, Finance, and Global Trade Compliance teams to ensure continuous knowledge-sharing and compliance adherence.
  • Technology & Automation Enhancements:

    • Support automation efforts to optimize quote-to-cash workflows and deal desk operations.
    • Contribute to system upgrades, helping refine Supermicro’s deal qualification and compliance tracking.

 

What this role is not:  Not looking for general Finance FP&A planning and reporting.

What You'll Bring:

  • Education & Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting (or equivalent experience).
    • 8+ years of relevant professional experience, with focus on deal desk operations, order-to-cash processes, sales support and contract/order management.
  • Sales Finance & Compliance Expertise:

    • Strong background (5+ years) in deal desk and sales operations, preferably in a large tech company.
    • Experience working with complex deal structures, financial risk assessments, and compliance regulations.
    • Knowledge of U.S. trade compliance regulations related to sales transactions (will be a bonus experience).
  • Analytical & Leadership Skills:

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and great attention to details  to engage with cross-functional teams and external partners.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing changing priorities and tight deadlines.
    • Strong problem-solving and process optimization mindset, with a track record of driving operational improvements.

Salary Range

$107,000 - $127,000 

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
