Job Summary:

Supermicro is seeking an experienced Sr. Product Engineer with a strong background in server architecture. The ideal candidate should have in-depth knowledge of the market trend and partner with the Product Manager to define product vision and strategy for the system’s management software products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Define and prioritize next-generation BMC and Redfish features that drive remote management innovation, automation, security, and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Hardware, Firmware, Software, and Validation teams throughout the design, development, integration, and validation phases of the product lifecycle.
  • Research market trends, customer requirements, competitive offerings, and emerging technologies to help shape product strategy and go-to-market plans.
  • Drive alignment between next-generation hardware capabilities and management software features to enable differentiated customer solutions.
  • Partner with engineering and security teams to enhance platform security through security-by-design practices, vulnerability management, and compliance initiatives.
  • Support implementation of advanced platform security technologies, including secure device authentication, Remote Attestation, and component security frameworks.
  • Participate in vulnerability assessment, CVE impact analysis, remediation planning, and security enhancement activities for server management software.
  • Support product readiness and launch activities by working across cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery and adoption.
  • Engage with enterprise customers and strategic partners to gather feedback, support evaluations and PoCs, and provide technical guidance.
  • Deliver technical presentations, demonstrations, and roadmap discussions that translate complex technologies into customer value.

Qualifications:

  • BS or higher in EE, CS, CE, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8+ years in computer engineering, software development, firmware development, platform engineering, or technical leadership.
  • 3+ years in software, firmware, server technologies, or product management-related roles.
  • Experience working with cross-functional Product, Engineering, Security, and Customer-facing teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while driving execution across organizations.

Nice to have the following experience, but not required: 

  • Familiarity with BMC, IPMI, DMTF Redfish, and server management technologies.
  • Experience with enterprise data center infrastructure and remote management solutions.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, firmware security, and vulnerability management.

Salary Range

$137,000 - $180,000 

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
