Job Summary:

As a Software Engineer, you’ll be the go-to person to roll out and maintain business critical applications and services for Supermicro. You are also responsible for resolving escalated service issues, coaching other engineers to resolutions, engineering and implementing complex projects. You will be a person who is independent with leadership to drive the technical development and with excellent communication skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):

• Develop software/firmware automation.
• Automated smoke and regression testing.
• Benchmark storage system performance.
• Make deep analyses of the reported bug, provides requests and logs, and forwards the bug to the appropriate developer.
• Collaborating with hardware engineers and other software teams to ensure seamless integration of ported firmware/software.
• Participate in issue review sessions with cross-functional teams including PMs, FAEs, service teams, and customers.
• Work with 3rd party partners in developing storage products.
• Perform other tasks as needed within the business.

Qualifications:

• BS in EE/CC/CE is required. MS in EE/CS/CE is preferred.
• Over 1 year of experience in SAS, SATA, and NVMe testing is preferred.
• Experience in building storage products.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to multi-task against disparate projects and timelines.
• Extensive experience in Linux OS and Windows.
• JAVA, Shell scripting, and Python experience are required.
• Strong programming skills in C/C++ is a plus.

Salary Range

$100,000 - $125,000 

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
