Job Summary:

Supermicro is looking for a server and storage Solutions Architect in the customer-facing FAE team to support our rapid business growth. This role requires the candidate to have in-depth server and storage hardware knowledge and understand the key cloud and data center technology trends, ability to recommend the right product/solution to enterprise and cloud customers and technical creditability to influence C-level executives on Supermicro solutions to optimize business success.  
This role will be based in the company’s headquarters in San Jose, CA, USA. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Working with tier 1 enterprise and cloud customers to uncover business opportunities in the data center, edge, or cloud, and establish yourself as the trusted technology advisor on customer challenges 
- Partner with business and sales teams in both internal and external meetings, serve as a technical advisor and provide accountable recommendations to executives on technology solutions that lead to favorable RFE and RFQ outcomes 
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, lead and influence internal stakeholders to achieve results by meeting customer’s expectation in early engagements
- Provide strategic and planning guidance for emerging hardware technologies to both internal and external clients 
- Collaborate closely with partners to understand their product road map and formulate ecosystem partnership to achieve business success

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or other engineering disciplines
- 5+ years of experience in the server and storage hardware industry. Shorter experience will be considered for exceptional candidates
-Preferred previous roles / experiences include enterprise solutions architect (hardware knowledge required),  ODM/OEM product manager, field applications engineer, hardware engineer, server or storage hardware product manager, etc
- Superb soft skill: ability to work efficiently and effectively in group environment, and influence cross-functional team without having direct managerial authority
- Strong problem-solving skill, ability to resolve complex issues with high level of ambiguity
- Experience working with large cloud and enterprise customers with proven record of successful achievements
- Great communicator. Positive attitude and upbeat personality a huge plus
