Job Summary:

Super Micro Computer, Inc. is currently seeking a Sr. Application Software Engineer who works on everything from backend, user-interface, and content management to messaging and web services. The position combines web development with back-end programming skills (MS SQL) and day-to-day management of multiple interactive websites and applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in software products and exceptional communication skills, with the ability to interface professionally with all levels of management and staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Possess a deep understanding of ERP, MRP, BOM, and end-to-end inventory processes, including demand forecasting, procurement, sales, and inventory management, and leverage this expertise to design, develop, and optimize mission-critical business systems.
• Provide technical leadership in application development direction, participating in strategic planning, and researching emerging technology trends to influence our core system architecture.
• Partner closely with operation and management teams to deeply understand business needs, translating complex requirements from internal users into high-quality, scalable technical designs.
• Develop, test, and maintain high-performance in-house .NET applications, driving performance optimization and advanced SQL tuning.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex data and application issues proactively, maintaining open communication with cross-departmental internal users to guarantee system reliability and smooth daily operations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, EE or IE preferred
• Minimum 8+ years of experience on web application design, implementation preferred
• Minimum 8+ years of software development experiences using ASP.NET + MS SQL preferred

• Knowledge of BOM, MRP, and inventory management
• Experience with SAP MM/PP is a plus
• Ability to manage and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Strong written and communication skills

Salary Range

​$145,000 - $175,000 

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
