Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated, and aggressive Sr. Business Development Director for our headquarters located in San Jose, CA. This role is part of our Worldwide Business Development team focused on hyperscalers, enterprise customers, and global data centers. You will drive business development initiatives, develop new business opportunities, expand strategic relationships, and generate qualified leads that support our global sales organization and channel partners. We expect you to bring innovative business development strategies and a strong industry network to help accelerate growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Drive business development initiatives focused on Hyperscalers, Enterprise customers, and Global Data Centers worldwide.

• Leverage existing relationships and industry networks to identify, develop, and qualify new business opportunities.

• Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key customer stakeholders, including C-level executives and senior decision-makers.

• Engage with customer leadership teams to understand strategic initiatives and align Supermicro solutions with business objectives.

• Deliver new product and go-to-market training to customers and partners.

• Create and deliver sales training programs and supporting materials for channel and sales teams.

• Expand existing customer relationships to drive retention, growth, and long-term strategic partnerships.

• Develop target account lists and execute strategies to penetrate key vertical markets.

• Strategically position Supermicro’s products and solutions to meet customer business and technical requirements.

• Build strong relationships with customers and partners while communicating product, market, and competitive information.

• Partner closely with sales teams to support opportunity development and successful deal closure.

• Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and market developments to identify new growth opportunities.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to support business objectives and customer success.

• Prepare and present business reports, forecasts, and other relevant updates as needed.

• Travel approximately 50%, including domestic and international travel, particularly within APAC regions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related discipline is highly desirable.

• Minimum of 15+ years of experience in server products, business development, sales, or marketing environments preferred.

• Strong knowledge of server technologies and data center infrastructure solutions.

• Proven network and established relationships with Hyperscalers, Enterprise customers, and Global Data Center organizations.

• Experience building relationships with C-level executives and influencing strategic business decisions.

• Experience with AI infrastructure, AI data centers, or accelerated computing environments is a strong plus.

• Established network within APAC markets and experience working across global regions is preferred.

• Able to work positively under deadlines and constraints; result-oriented and attentive to detail.

• Consistently meeting/exceeding assigned goals in a timely manner.

• Strong communication skills across multiple disciplines and cultures; demonstrated written, verbal, and presentation skills.

• Experience tracking and reporting data on lead activity.

Salary Range

$165,000 - $210,000 

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
