Job Summary:

Supermicro Computer Inc. is currently seeking a talented Sr. Chemical/Materials Engineer to support our Liquid Cooling Solutions line by conducting research, testing and developing cooling liquids and wetted materials to improve performance to meet customer standards. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):
• Conduct in-depth research and analysis on the properties of cooling liquids and wetted materials to ensure their performance meets company and client requirements
• Support the development of new liquid cooling products and the improvement of existing products, providing technical support and professional advice
• Design and implement experiments to evaluate the performance and compatibility of cooling fluids and wetted materials
• Analyze experimental data, write reports, and provide improvement recommendations. Operate and maintain relevant testing equipment for material property testing
• Collaborate with cross functional teams and vendors to ensure projects are completed on time and meet expected standards
• Define the standard processes based on risk analysis and provide troubleshooting

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience, with a background in cooling liquid property research and analysis preferred
• Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of relevant testing equipment, such as chromatographs, viscometers, and spectrometers
• Strong experimental design and data analysis skills, with the ability to independently write technical reports
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and team collaboration skills
• Good command of English, with experience in technical documentation preferred

Salary Range

$150,000 - $165,000 

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
