Job Summary:

As Sr. Director, Netwrok as Engineering Leader for network switches and solutions you will lead a team of solutions engineers to design, deliver, and optimize advanced networking solutions—focusing on switches, routing, and related infrastructure. This role is pivotal in bridging technical expertise with business strategy, ensuring high-quality data center solutions that meet customer needs and drive organizational growth

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership & Management
    • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Solutions Engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
    • Develop and implement training programs to enhance team technical expertise and keep skills current with evolving technologies.
    • Set clear goals, monitor performance metrics, and drive continuous improvement in solution delivery and team operations.
  • Technical Strategy & Solution Delivery
    • Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of network switching solutions, including Layer 2/3 switching, SDN, and automation
    • Guide the team in developing and executing solution-led strategies to achieve business outcomes and sales targets
    • Provide advanced technical guidance on complex networking architectures, protocols, and interoperability.
  • Customer Engagement & Relationship Management
    • Act as a trusted advisor for customers, translating business requirements into technical solutions that address customer pain points.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and internal teams.
    • Support sales teams by articulating the value and capabilities of networking solutions, participating in major bids, and driving customer adoption.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration
    • Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other engineering teams to influence product strategy and roadmap.
    • Convey market and customer requirements back to product and business units to inform future product development.
  • Innovation & Industry Leadership
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging networking technologies, and best practices to identify opportunities for innovation
    • Act as a thought leader and advocate for the organization’s networking solutions, both internally and externally.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Establish and maintain efficient workflows and processes to improve operational efficiency and scalability of solutions engineering activities.
    • Analyze and review cost implications, risks, and impacts of network solutions, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in networking technologies, with deep knowledge of network switches, routing, protocols, and architectures
  • Proven leadership and management skills, including experience leading technical teams and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving abilities, and project management experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences and build strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a track record of translating customer needs into effective technical solutions.
  • Experience with network automation, assurance, SDN, and large-scale infrastructure deployments is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 12+ years of work experience in related field, with 10+ years in management is highly preferred

Please note that this position requires regular in-office attendance. The successful candidate is expected to be present in the office during standard working hours as determined by the company. In-office collaboration and participation in team meetings, training sessions, and other on-site activities are essential aspects of this role. Candidates should consider the commuting distance and be prepared to fulfill their responsibilities in the designated office location.

Salary Range

$239,000 - $291,000 

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
