Job Summary:

Supermicro system department is looking for a highly technical Sr. Director, Product Management to manage the end-to-end solution coordination and promotion.  In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional engineering team to provide technical direction and guidance to ensure the market competitiveness of in-house solution design.  In the meantime, you will partner with customer engagement team to understand customers’ requirements, and lead internal team in both customization and/or design processes. This position will be based in our headquarters located in San Jose, CA.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):

• Responsible for servers, solutions, product revenue, and customer retention

• Defines, leads, and provides creative servers and solutions, and overcome constraints to meet customer requirements

• Organizes technical resources within the organization to address client needs, when necessary

• Understands and resolve challenges by collaborating with internal business partner and technical members

• Acts as escalation point for Solutions Management team

• Oversees deliverables and documentation as required, supporting Supermicro Solutions and Products organization

• Provides solutions and products overview training to internal organizations, partners, and customers

• Creates solution marketing programs and collaterals with marketing team

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science or related field of study. MBA or advanced degree in electrical engineering or computer science or engineering preferred.

• 17+ years of work experience in related field, with 8 years in management is highly preferred

• Strong organizational, planning, and presentational skills, ability to present demo and solutions to large groups and C-level executives

• Solid interpersonal (written and verbal communication) and project management skills, able to influence and lead dynamic groups in corporate environment efficiently

• In-depth knowledge in server systems and solutions, able to influence and recommend customers with the optimized solutions and provide internal teams on technical directions

Salary Range

   $249,000 - $286,000 

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
