Job Summary:
We are seeking a strategic, results-driven Senior Director of Product Management to drive the growth and expansion of our networking solutions portfolio. This role requires strong people's leadership skills, including proven experience building, leading, and developing high-performing product management teams.
This position will be based at our headquarters located in San Jose, CA.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Represent the company as a credible networking expert in customer meetings, partner discussions, industry events, and executive-level engagements.
- Serve as a senior technical and business interface for executive reviews, customer briefings, roadmap discussions, and strategic planning sessions.
- Lead the design of network solutions by translating business, application, and infrastructure requirements into scalable Ethernet fabric architectures, including topology design, switch selection, optics/cabling strategy, rack integration, power and cooling considerations, and deployment planning.
- Monitor industry trends in Ethernet switching, AI networking, data center fabrics, optics, cabling, routing, SONiC, silicon platforms, and emerging infrastructure architectures.
- Develop competitive positioning, pricing strategy, business cases, and go-to-market plans for switching products and related infrastructure solutions.
- Support sales enablement, customer presentations, partner training, and field engagement by clearly communicating product value, differentiation, and deployment use cases.
- Partner closely with engineering, architecture, silicon vendors, software teams, operations, sales, marketing, and executive leadership to deliver highly competitive networking platforms.
- Own the product strategy, roadmap, and execution for Ethernet switching platforms targeting AI, cloud, hyperscale, enterprise, and data center infrastructure markets.
- Define product requirements for next-generation Ethernet switches, routers, and related networking systems based on customer needs, market trends, silicon roadmaps, competitive analysis, and business objectives.
- Drive end-to-end product lifecycle management, from concept definition and business case development through architecture alignment, development, launch, customer adoption, and sustaining support.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- 17+ years of overall industry experience, including 10+ years in software, infrastructure, or systems-focused roles within the networking industry, with demonstrated technical depth and business impact.
- Deep expertise in Ethernet switching and routing platforms, including switch/router hardware architecture, switching and routing ASICs, packet-processing pipelines, and the silicon technologies that power modern data center and enterprise networks.
- Strong understanding of data center infrastructure and rack-level system design, including servers, networking, power, cooling, cabling, and the physical deployment considerations required to scale AI and cloud fabrics.
- Proven ability to define, lead, and deliver product strategy in complex global organizations, either as a senior individual contributor with director-level scope or as a people leader managing cross-functional teams.
- Strong systems-level thinking with the ability to connect technical architecture, customer requirements, market dynamics, and business strategy into actionable product plans.
- Executive-level communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate ideas, influence senior stakeholders, and drive alignment across global teams without direct authority.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, make sound decisions under uncertainty, and lead effectively in a fast-moving, technically complex environment.
- CCIE certification or equivalent advanced networking certification is preferred.
Salary Range
$250,000- $279,000
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
