As the Sr. Director, Sales Finance - Deal Desk, you will serve as a critical strategic partner to the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) and the global sales organization. You will lead the financial strategy, structuring, and governance that drive our go-to-market (GTM) execution, maximize revenue growth, and optimize margin performance.

This is a high-impact role requiring an important blend of deep technical finance expertise, strategic commercial acumen, and the ability to navigate complex, high-value hardware and software capital expenditure (CapEx) cycles within the hyperscale, enterprise, and AI cloud service provider (CSP) markets. You will lead as the leader to build the underlying Sales Finance Deal Desk combined function.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Strategic GTM Partnership: Act as the primary financial advisor to the Global Sales leadership team. Evaluate market trends, pipeline health, and deal mix to maximize total contract value (TCV) and gross margins.  Balance aggressive top-line growth with gross margin expansion and strict financial compliance (ASC 606 / US GAAP). You are a strategic partner also to the C-suite, responsible for turning non-standard, multi-element commercial complexities into winning, high-velocity sales playbooks.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment  and Deal Structuring & Pricing Governance: serve as the executive architect and global leader of our commercial deal orchestration engine. Operating at the intersection of Enterprise Sales, Corporate Finance, Legal, Supply Chain, and Product Management, you will lead a world-class team responsible for structuring, evaluating, and approving high-stakes, multi-million-dollar transactions. Design and enforce rigorous review on terms and conditions, pricing and margin frameworks and commercial models for large-scale server deployments, AI clusters or other solutions.  Partner seamlessly with Revenue Accounting to ensure compliance with ASC 606 (revenue recognition).
  • Sales Compensation & Incentives: Partner with Sales Operations, HR and OCDM to design, commission model and rates, and administer global sales commission structures, quota allocations, and SPIFFs that align sales behavior with corporate margin and revenue targets.  Own the accuracy of commission accounting, including monthly reconciliations, roll forward and rationalization with accurate details.  Be a voice for management for continuous improvement in these areas
  • Revenue and billing forecast:  Lead the project by customer roll up billing versus revenue forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning processes for global bookings, revenue). Deliver accurate, data-driven revenue projections to executive leadership.
  • Performance Metrics & Dashboards: Establish, track, and report on key hardware, SFT, services and other for the respective performance metrics, including Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC e.g. commission), Lifetime Value (LTV), Net Revenue Retention (NRR), sales velocity, and discount analysis as applicable, to continue to support sales management and sales operations for its growth year over year.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of progressive finance experience, and / or  in Deal Desk with a minimum of 5 years in a dedicated Sales Finance, Commercial Finance, or GTM Finance leadership role within the technology sector (Hardware, AI infrastructure, Cloud Services, or Enterprise Software).
  • Deep working knowledge of ASC 606 / US GAAP revenue recognition standards as they pertain to multi-element arrangements (hardware, software, SaaS, services).
  • Public Accounting and CPA or equivalent will be highly beneficial.
  • Expert-level mastery of enterprise sales operations systems (Salesforce.com, Salesforce CPQ, SAP ERP, or other key platforms).
  • 5+ years of direct people management experience, leading cross-regional global teams in a large public company environment ($1B+ revenue scale).
  • Proven understanding of the data center ecosystem, server manufacturing, GPU/accelerated computing supply chains, and mixed hardware/software monetization models.
  • Demonstrated success building or scaling a sophisticated commercial deal desk that supports complex, multi-million dollar enterprise or hyperscale accounts.
  • Strong track record of managing and developing high-performing teams of finance managers and analysts in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good expertise in financial modeling, SQL, and enterprise platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Anaplan, NetSuite, Tableau, or similar CRM/ERP/BI tools).
  • Exceptional executive presence; ability to translate complex financial data into actionable strategic insights for C-suite executives and non-finance sales leaders.

Salary Range

​$245,000 - $278,000 

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
