Job Summary:

Supermicro system department is looking for a highly well-versed General Manager of Business Development to build and grow Supermicro’s server platform business, in this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of the business development cycle: leading strategic initiatives, forming partner relationships, and negotiating deals. Lead customer engagements to better understand client’s needs and to work with internal team to design optimized solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Highly proficient in data analysis to create "Target Customers" as depth or breath.

• Negotiate and execute on potential business opportunity between customers and vendors.

• Directs large, global, virtual, and cross-functional teams and communications to facilitate the development of strategic initiatives and fully integrate strategic initiatives across businesses and regions.

• Work and lead across business units, in a cross-functional team environment.

• Provides strong leadership, develops and sets individual and team goals, and acts as a change agent and leader.

• Primary focus on AMD market as presale, propose, and identify projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline or business; Master’s degree is a plus

• Minimum 18 years of product or engineering management experiences in the IT industry, with 12 years in people management role

• Strong organizational, planning, and presentational skills, ability to present demo and solutions to large groups and C-level executives

• Solid interpersonal (written and verbal communication) and project management skills, able to influence and lead dynamic groups in corporate environment efficiently

• In-depth knowledge in IT industry and its application, able to influence and recommend clients the right solutions and provide internal teams on technical directions

• Able to sit for long periods of time.

• Able to input data into a computer and work with a computer screen for long periods of time.

• Occasional bending and standing.

• Standing, walking, sitting, talking/listening, crouching or crawling, reaching with hands and arms.

• Lift, carry, push and pull up to 15 pounds.
