Job Summary:

We are looking for a knowledgeable Sr. IT Engineer to manage the performance of all IT equipment such as computers, network devices, servers, printers, and phones as well as develop, use and integrate IT systems. You'll take the hassle out of resolving technical problems and ensurimng users are maximizing the value of technology in business. As the primary technical contact for our employees and insures that service delivery aligns with Supermicro's standards, you will have an in-depth knowlege of the IT environment, and business requirements, with the desired goal of reducing the amount of reactive support required. A Sr. IT Engineer will be be knowledgeable and customer-oriented. Communication is everything, so we expect you to amaze us with your superior technical expertise and a problem-solving aptitude. Customer satisfaction and fast resolution time are the primary objectives of the IT Engineers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):

  • Manage and maintain corporate messaging and collaboration infrastructure including Microsoft 365 Exchange Online, on-premises Exchange, hybrid configurations, and internal mail relay servers.
  • Administer and optimize Active Directory and Azure Active Directory, covering identity lifecycle, group management, synchronization, and conditional access policies. 
  • Perform end-to-end Microsoft Teams administration, including Teams Phone System, call routing, number assignment, voice policies, and integration with Exchange and SharePoint. 
  • Manage Microsoft 365 license assignment and optimization, ensuring compliance, cost efficiency, and alignment with user roles and services. 
  • Automate administrative tasks and reporting using PowerShell scripting and Microsoft Graph API, including user provisioning, mailbox and Teams automation, and compliance tasks. 
  • Work with global and regional IT teams to enforce consistent policies and integration practices across environments.
  • Design and maintain high availability, backup, and disaster recovery plans for Microsoft 365 and messaging systems. 
  • Ensure regulatory compliance (e.g., SOX, GDPR) across collaboration and identity systems, and drive global IT standardization.
  • Establish and enforce Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and service frameworks.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for Microsoft 365 (Exchange, Teams, Azure AD), providing guidance to internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with business units to understand challenges, identify inefficiencies, and propose practical, secure IT solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS, or a related field preferred
  • 7+ years of experience managing Microsoft Exchange environments, including hybrid Exchange Online deployments
  • Deep expertise in Active Directory and Azure Active Directory, including hybrid identity, synchronization, and group management 
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Teams administration, including Phone System, call flow management, and Teams governance 
  • Strong experience managing Microsoft 365 license plans, usage, compliance, and optimization 
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 security and compliance tools (e.g., DLP, retention policies, auditing)
  • Proficient in PowerShell scripting and Microsoft Graph API for automation and integration 
  • Understanding of email authentication standards (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) and message routing
  • Good project planning, prioritization, and time management skills
  • Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Solid grasp of IT governance, collaboration tools, and identity management best practices is a plus
  • Knowledge of ITIL framework and experience applying data-driven decision-making in IT operations

Salary Range

$137,000 - $157,000

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
