Job Summary:

Supermicro Computer, Inc. is looking for a Senior Information Systems Project Manager in our headquarters located in San Jose, CA. The senior Information Systems PM is responsible for overall direction, implementation, execution, control, and project management of the IT deliverables of enterprise-wide projects. The Senior IT PM partners and consults with various technical and business partners to deliver business value and achieve business strategy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leads IT or enterprise initiatives with moderate to high scope and complexity.
  • Drives leaders across the enterprise to deliver value and achieve business strategies and objectives.
  • Shapes programs/projects to deliver business value with shorter iterations.
  • Monitors program, industry, functional, or technology trends and incorporates emerging business and consumer trends.
  • Develops communication strategies and secures commitment for program/project decisions.
  • Guides program teams to communicate solution vision and priorities.
  • Develops plans to overcome resistance to change and guides teams forward.
  • Supports ongoing efforts to improve project delivery.
  • Sets project expectations and strategy; ensures development of organizational change plans and project financials.
  • Contributes to solution options and supports business partner decision-making.
  • Identifies opportunities for creating reusable artifacts.
  • Leads project/program teams to identify measurable business value.
  • Manages and resolves conflict issues and risks within the project/program team.
  • Develops RFPs, analyzes vendor responses, and prepares vendor summaries and recommendations.
  • Assesses vendor products and interfaces impacted by projects and makes recommendations for improvements.
  • Consults with teams, stakeholders, and business leaders to identify and resolve emerging business needs.
  • Collaborates with business and technology partners to identify value drivers.
  • Develops business solutions aligned with overall strategy.
  • Provides partners and leaders with an accurate view of challenges to adoption.
  • Maintains understanding of state and federal laws and regulations related to credit union compliance.
  • Creates a collaborative environment for distributed or virtual teams.
  • Provides guidance, feedback, coaching, and mentoring to project team members.
  • Engages stakeholders and consults with senior leaders to define measurable business value and benefits.
  • Analyzes project trends and themes and makes recommendations for adjustments and contingency plans.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Management Information Systems or Computer Science is strongly preferred. Advanced degrees or certifications in project management, such as PMP or Agile, can be beneficial.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum ten years of combined experience in project analysis, coordination, and management with a minimum of 8 years of experience directly managing projects. Experience managing moderate complexity projects end-to-end required, preferably in a financial institution.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of financial products and services, especially as it relates to various delivery channels preferred.  
  • Strong knowledge of business analytical practices and methodologies and process improvement methodologies, e.g. Lean or Six Sigma a plus.
  • Strong research, analytical, planning and organizational skills.
  • Customer-focused attitude and ability to work proactively and efficiently.
  • Supportive of all decisions, choices, goals and objectives as determined by PMO leadership and Executive leadership.
  • Proven ability to evaluate key business objectives and develop appropriate action plans.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially MS Project, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
  • Ability to use logical reasoning when making objective observations, examinations, evaluations and recommendations.
  • Familiarity with common contractual language and contract negotiation

Salary Range

$150,000 - $165,000 

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
