Job Summary:
The Sr LMS Administrator will manage the administration, governance, and continuous improvement of the Cornerstone Learning Management System (LMS). This role supports enterprise learning operations by ensuring training programs are delivered consistently, efficiently, and in alignment with business, compliance, and employee development needs.
The role partners closely with IT, HR, Learning and Development, Compliance, and business teams to support a reliable, user-friendly LMS experience and provide data-driven insights that help strengthen workforce readiness.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain the Cornerstone LMS, including configuration, users, workflows, integrations, upgrades, and system settings.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot LMS issues related to access, Single Sign-On (SSO), assignments, completion tracking, and reporting.
- Manage the end-to-end training lifecycle, including course setup, enrollment, scheduling, delivery, tracking, and completion records.
- Improve the learner experience by supporting intuitive learning journeys, self-service capabilities, and user-friendly processes.
- Collaborate with IT, HR, Learning and Development, Compliance, business partners, and vendors to deliver training programs and platform enhancements.
- Establish and maintain LMS governance standards, processes, documentation, and best practices to support scalable learning operations.
- Support compliance training, audit readiness, and reporting requirements, including SOX and other applicable regulatory needs.
- Develop dashboards, reports, key performance indicators, and insights to measure training effectiveness and business impact.
- Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and continuous enhancement of LMS capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 8+ years of experience in LMS administration, learning operations, or a related enterprise systems role.
- Hands-on experience administering Cornerstone OnDemand or a comparable enterprise LMS.
- Experience managing LMS configuration, reporting, content administration, assignments, and user lifecycle processes.
- Experience supporting compliance training, audit readiness, and required learning programs.
- Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners and translate technical capabilities into practical learning solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Cornerstone modules such as Learning, Reporting, Compliance, and Extended Enterprise.
- Experience with ServiceNow, SuccessFactors, Human Resources Information System (HRIS) integrations, or other enterprise platforms.
- Knowledge of eLearning standards such as Sharable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM) and Experience API (xAPI).
- Experience supporting global learning programs, multi-language content, and scalable training delivery.
- Strong analytical skills with experience developing dashboards, reports, and key performance indicators.
Work Environment
This position is based in the San Jose office and requires regular in-office attendance during standard business hours. The role includes collaboration with colleagues, participation in team meetings, and support for on-site activities as needed.
Salary Range
$110,000 - $145,000
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
