Job Summary:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute global sourcing strategies for key components to ensure supply security and competitive advantages
- Lead contract negotiations and manage long-term strategic relationships with key suppliers to drive value, innovation, and performance.
- Analyze market trends, cost structures, and competitive forces to optimize procurement strategy and TCO (Total Cost of Ownership).
- Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to align procurement requirements with long-term technology roadmaps and product life cycles.
- Drive continuous improvement in key component procurement processes, leveraging data analytics to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to develop and execute GTM (Go To Market) strategy, resolve supply chain bottlenecks and support business-critical needs.
- Support and provide product subject matter expertise and leadership to sales functional team training with both internal and external
- Collaborate with sale team to nurture customer success, meet and exceed company’s business growth target
- Collaborate with external vendors on requirements definition and solution development
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering/technical field, MBA, Supply Chain Management or relevant advanced degree is highly desirable
- Knowledge of server/workstation hardware business models preferred
- Knowledge of machine learning accelerator preferred
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in leadership of cross-functional teams, ideally in hardware and software solution product management and marketing preferred
- Strong analytical, marketing and project management skills - a drive for results and a history of successful execution on projects
- Strong communication skills and ability to help direct product development and presentation
- Ability to develop business relationships from scratch, both internal and external to Supermicro
- Understanding of B2B business model
- Candidates with strong hands-on ability is highly preferred
Please note that this position requires regular in-office attendance. The successful candidate is expected to be present in the office during standard working hours as determined by the company. In-office collaboration and participation in team meetings, training sessions, and other on-site activities are essential aspects of this role. Candidates should consider the commuting distance and be prepared to fulfill their responsibilities in the designated office location.
Salary Range
$150,000 - $180,000
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
