Job Summary:

The OEM server group is seeking a talented Sr. Product Engineer to be part of a growing team that manages some of the highest visibility accounts at Supermicro.  The ideal PE candidate should have either relevant industry experience or are familiar with the server hardware industry, can hit the ground running from day 1, and most importantly be a team player.  This individual should also be able to perform their day-to-day duties with minimal supervision and help support internal teams with product or process issues.

This position will be based in our headquarters located in San Jose, CA.

Sr. Level Requirements:

• Strong AI infrastructure, GPU server, and rack integration experience.
• Solid understanding of rack-scale architecture and GPU-to-rack system integration.
• Experience leading NPI, system qualification, debug, and production ramp.
• Strong cross-functional leadership and customer-facing technical communication skills.
• Ability to independently drive complex system-level issues from bring-up through production.
  
  

Responsibilities:

• Own end-to-end AI rack platform integration, from GPU/server configuration through rack integration, NPI, qualification, and production ramp.
• Lead GPU-to-rack integration, including compute, GPU, networking, power, thermal/cooling, and rack infrastructure.
• Coordinate BIOS/BMC/CPLD/FW integration, validation, system bring-up, and issue resolution.
• Drive customer-specific configuration validation, technical debug, FA/root cause, and corrective actions.
• Lead pilot build, manufacturing readiness, factory ramp, and NPI-to-production transition.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across HW, FW, GPU, networking, thermal, validation, manufacturing, and customer engineering.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in EE,CE,ME with 8+ years system engineering experiences in server products is strongly desirable, or equivalent industry experience is preferred
• Strong knowledge in server architecture and component ecosystem
• Hands on experience troubleshooting server issues
• Experiences in configuring basic enterprise level OS
• Experiences in scripting languages is a plus
• Experiences in working with sales / FAE account teams in a collaborative setting is a plus
• Able to lift 50+ lbs

Please note that this position requires regular in-office attendance. The successful candidate is expected to be present in the office during standard working hours as determined by the company. In-office collaboration and participation in team meetings, training sessions, and other on-site activities are essential aspects of this role. Candidates should consider the commuting distance and be prepared to fulfill their responsibilities in the designated office location.

Salary Range

$150,000-$180,000
