Job Summary:

The Sr. Product Manager is responsible for the Supermicro compact Edge computing products, 
promotion, planning, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, and working closely with engineering, purchasing, CM, vendors, sales, marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. This role will focus on designing and delivering the Supermicro compact Edge Compute Products, as well as act as the project manager and technical interface between the marketing, research and development engineers, the sales team as well as customers. The ideal candidate must have in-depth knowledge in embedded / Edge compute systems with great understanding of the market and trends and the ability to position the products in the market for sustained above industry growth.
This position will be based in the headquarters located in San Jose, CA

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):
• Define the product strategy and roadmap
• Control and manage product development process for timely release to market
• Deliver products with prioritized features and corresponding justification
• Manage product from launch to EOL, support troubleshooting with materials or production
• support Sales promoting product to customers and get market feedback
• work with customers and partners to ensure project win
• support solution development with custom configuration and sample builds
• maintain internal and external product pages and tools
• support select marketing projects
• Travel periodically to visit customers and attend trade shows
• Drive technical issues to closure by arranging cross function teams
• Provide demos to customer and pre/post-sales support
• Manage critical support situations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, preferred
• 8+ years as Product Manager of embedded PC / IPC product preferred
• customer-facing experience a plus
• Excellent knowledge of PC and embedded system technology is required
• Strong initiative and ability to work in a self-directed environment
• Proven track record of strategically defining and successfully launching successful products
• • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Technical background, with experience in embedded PC 
• Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
• Strong understanding of market trends and customer needs
• Ability to travel up to 20% of the time

Salary Range

$156,000 - $181,000 

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
