Job Summary:

Supermicro is seeking a Senior Production DFMA (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly) Engineer to join our DFMA team by reviewing the new and existing product design from raw material, PCBA, mechanical, electronic and system integration to ensure not only the Supermicro products meets the industrial and company quality standard but also the best optimization. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is ready to work beyond boundaries and capable to do what it takes to meet the goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):
Reviewing and facilitating the early stage design concept and products, working with all cross functional teams at all levels to make the manufacturing and assembly process more robust, less cost and more smoothness in mass production manufacturing environment to meet high customer demands. 
 
Daily routine responsibility include but not limited to:
• Diagnose and analyze the products for correction, enhancement and improvement
• Work with teammate to take product photos and generate formal DFMA reports for the products
• Maintain all DFMA record in system and follow up findings, work with IT to optimize DFMA database
• Search for MRP, BOM, ECO/ECN, part specs, design documents, assembly instructions, test reports, production assembly record, quality data, RMA data, ISO documents, industrial standards, etc.
 

Qualifications:

• BS in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering; MS degree is preferred
• Minimum 8+ years of relevant work experiences with storage, server and cloud industry
• Influent with MS Office Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Knowledge of PCBA, Creo CAD, Allegro, Valor is desirable
• Established capability in statistical methods of data analysis including SPC and DOE
• Excellent communication skill within cross functional teams with varying levels of technical expertise.
• Additional certificates, licenses and registrations are considered a plus
• Active/proactive learner align to the latest new technology driven

Salary Range

$128,000 - $160,000 

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
