Job Summary:
Supermicro is seeking a Senior Production Engineer to join our DFMA (Design for Manufacturing and Design for High-Volume Assembly) team by reviewing the new and existing product design from raw material, PCBA, mechanical, electronic, and system integration easy assembly. This is to ensure Supermicro products meet the industrial and company quality standard, but also the best optimization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):
• Review, diagnose and analyze the products for correction, enhancement, and improvement
• Work with teammate to take photos and generate formal DFMA reports for the products
• Maintain all DFMA record and make sure it is up to date
• Search for BOM, ECO, SOP, design documents, test reports, production assembly record, quality data, RMA data, ISO documents, industrial standards, etc.
• Coordinate with related department to improve internal quality issue and/or customer quality issue which was induced by raw material quality
• Generate statistics and analysis reports - Report to upper management on the performance of raw component quality system and any need for improvement
• Review the inspection systems, and constantly seeking for any opportunity for improvement
• Develop automated DFMA report and tracking system
Qualifications:
• BS/MS degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields
• Minimum of 8 years related experience preferred
• Strong skills and familiar with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint
• Established capability in statistical methods of data analysts including SPC and DOE
• Knowledge of CAD, Allergo, Valor is desirable
• Strong verbal, writing, and communication skills with the talent to articulate technical detail to others with varying levels of technical expertise
• Self-discipline, enthusiastic, creative and persistent with the ability to work under pressure in fast-pace environment

Salary Range: $110,000 - $160,000
