Job Summary:

The Sr. Production Project Manager will be responsible for successfully delivering specific production projects. They oversee project planning, execution, resource management, stakeholder communication, risk management, and quality assurance. By effectively managing projects, they contribute to the organization’s overall success and ensure the timely completion of production initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

You will represent the production team at the client's site, working with the System Solution PM and the business development team for new business.

  • The PPM develops detailed project plans, including defining project objectives, scope, deliverables, and timelines. They work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, create project schedules, and allocate necessary resources.
  • The PPM is responsible for the day-to-day management and coordination of project activities. They oversee project teams, assign tasks, and meet project milestones, including monitoring progress, tracking project metrics, and addressing any issues or risks that arise during the project.
  • The PPM manages project resources, including human resources, equipment, and materials. They work with stakeholders to identify resource needs, negotiate contracts with vendors, and ensure that resources are allocated efficiently to support project goals.
  • The PPM develops and manages project budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring adherence to financial targets. They monitor project costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement measures to control expenses throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Communicate and collaborate with various stakeholders involved in the project, including clients, team members, suppliers, and senior management. They provide regular project updates, address concerns, and ensure stakeholders are engaged and informed throughout the project.
  • Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. They conduct risk assessments, create contingency plans, and monitor project risks throughout the project lifecycle. You will utilize your proactive problem-solving, decision-making, and ensuring project quality and safety.
  • Responsible for ensuring that project deliverables meet the required quality standards. They establish quality control processes, perform quality inspections, and implement corrective actions when necessary. They also work closely with the quality assurance team to ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards.
  • You will maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, progress reports, and documentation of project-related decisions and changes. They provide regular project status updates to stakeholders and prepare project reports for senior management.
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvement and learns lessons from the project. They analyze project data, gather feedback from team members and stakeholders, and implement improvements to enhance project efficiency, effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • BS degree in EE, CS, or relevant discipline preferred
  •  Minimum 5+ years of relative work experience in the electronic or computer industry preferred
  • Strong analytical skills as well as computer skills, be able to use Excel
  • Strong attention to detail, including accuracy and thoroughness
  • Good comprehension of English in writing and verbal, with Mandarin being considered a plus
  • Additional certificates, licenses, and registrations are considered a plus
  • Able to work in fast-paced testing environment
  • Ability to work overtime and weekend depending on business demands

Salary Range

$105,000- $135,000 

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
